CEP Announces New Editor Appointment
The WEAI Executive Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Jane Ruseski, West Virginia University, as the new CEP Editor beginning July 2026. Jane has served as a CEP co-editor for many years so has a great familiarity with the inner workings of the journal as well as other Association programs she has been involved in in the past.
Jane's vision for CEP from her editorship proposal:
"My primary goal as editor of Contemporary Economic Policy is to build on the work of previous
editors in raising the profile and impact of the journal as a leading policy-oriented general interest
journal with an international reputation. To achieve this, I will focus on three key areas that I see
as critical to raising the journal’s profile: enhancing manuscript quality, ensuring policy relevance,
and solidifying its international presence."
We are excited to continue working with Jane to support the researchers doing the work that will keep economics an essential part of the conversations guiding policy debates around the world.
