Please review or printout the following information which includes registration policies, registration benefits, special activities, airport-to-hotel transportation, audio-visual information, important dates, and a tentative conference schedule.
Registration Policies
- Only registrants with badges may attend sessions or special events (children excepted).
- Program participants must register by April 15 to remain on the program.
- Everyone over 18 must register, including non-economist spouses and adult guests.
- All cancellations must be in writing.
- Program participants who cancel are eligible for a 50% refund of participation fees before March 1. After March 1, participation fees are non-refundable.
- Non-program participants who cancel are eligible for a full refund (less a $25 handling fee) for cancellations received by June 1.
- Refunds will be processed after the conference and are subject to a $25 handling fee.
- Membership dues are nonrefundable.
- Children (under 18) need not register to share hotel accommodations or attend special events, but they do need a purchased ticket for all special events.
- Program participants reserve your housing now, and make any necessary adjustments on your arrival and departure dates when your travel plans are confirmed.
- After June 15, registration fees will increase by $45 and you will be required to register on-site.
Cancellations & Refunds
- Program participants be sure to advise the other participants in your session(s) that you will not be attending the conference.
- All cancellations must be in writing, e-mailed to sessions@weai.org.

Registration Benefits
All conference registrations are entitled to receive:
- Conference program with affiliation, phone, fax, and e-mail of all participants.
- Admittance to all concurrent and general sessions.
- Waiver of manuscript submission fees for current members submitting a conference paper to Economic Inquiry or Contemporary Economic Policy by December 31, 2012.
- Complimentary coffee breaks, Presidential luncheon (as space permits), and no-host reception.
- Complimentary conference bag.
Special Activities
- Luncheon ticket(s) and any special activity ticket(s), will be included in the registration packet you will receive on-site.
- Space is limited for special activities.
- A luncheon ticket is included in each registration fee; however, space is limited and you must reserve a seat by checking the appropriate box on the registration payment form. Registered guests are welcome to attend the luncheon as well.
- Please purchase or reserve all special activity tickets by June 15.
- Cancellations must be made in writing by June 30 to receive a refund. We are unable to give refunds for late cancellations.
WEAI Welcome Reception
Friday, June 29 | 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Take time to relax, renew old acquaintances, and make new friends at the WEAI Welcome Reception. There will be a cash bar and hearty appetizers.
Presidential Luncheon/Business Meeting
Sunday, July 1 | 12:15 to 2:15 p.m.
This year’s luncheon features an address by WEAI President Richard Easterlin, University of Southern California. Tickets are required and seating will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis so make your reservation early. Reservation deadline is June 1. Please e-mail any special dietary requirements you have to registration@weai.org.
A's vs. Red Sox Baseball Game
Monday, July 2 | approximately 4:30-11:00 p.m. | The Coliseum
Enjoy a night of baseball with all you can eat BBQ beforehand! Buses will pick you up at the Hilton at 4:30pm for the trip over the Bay Bridge to the Coliseum to watch the Oakland A's take on the Boston Red Sox.The left field BBQ Terrace is reserved just for WEAI with exclusive seating for 75 people right smack dab in homerun territory. The buffet will be served from 5:30 to 7:05pm when the game starts. The menu includes a picnic-style meal of potato chips, coleslaw, home style potato salad, BBQ hamburger bar, hot dogs, veggie dogs and Italian sausage. There will also be cookies, brownies, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Sierra Mist and water available.At the conclusion of the game, buses will be waiting to whisk you back to the Hilton, safe and sound.Purchase tickets when you register for the conference, or visit www.weai.org/Registration/Fees and scroll down to the "Special Activities" section to buy your game tickets.

- Distance from San Francisco Airport to the Hilton Union Square: 17 mile(s), 30 minute drive time

Audio-Visual Equipment
- LCD projectors and screens will be provided in each meeting room.
- LAPTOP COMPUTERS WILL NOT BE PROVIDED, so coordinate with your fellow session participants if you need one available.
- Overhead projects available by reservation only. Call 714-965-8800 with your session number, day, and time, and we will arrange to have an overhead available for your presentation.
- Mac users be sure to bring your Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter for connectivity to the projector.
- If other equipment is required please call 714-965-8800 for prices and availability. Additional equipment is at your own expense.
